• INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNIT: IMU-equipped electronic riding support technology brings advanced capability to Z for the ultimate riding experience. Using Bosch’s compact Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), inertia is monitored along 6 Degrees of Freedom. Acceleration along longitudinal, transverse, and vertical axes, plus roll rate and pitch rate are measured. The yaw rate is calculated using Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modeling software. Input from the 6-axis IMU adds greater precision to Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), enabling the additional function of corner braking management. By calculating the motorcycle’s lean angle, IMU feedback helps modulate brake force for any sudden erratic movements or slippage in a corner, assisting in holding your intended line through the turn. When slowing in a straight line, IMU-enhanced ABS also helps manage pitching to suppress rear-wheel lift under heavy braking.
• KAWASAKI CORNER MANAGEMENT FUNCTION: Kawasaki Corner Management Function (KCMF) helps modulate brake force and engine power for more precise control through corners. KCMF helps facilitate a smooth transition from accelerating to braking and accelerating again, assisting in tracing your intended line through the turn.
• FULL-COLOR. FULL ATTENTION.: A 5-in TFT full-color meter features 2 display types. Type 1 shows a bar-style tachometer along the top with vital vehicle information and turn-by-turn directions below if navigation is in use. Type 2 shows a hexagonal tachometer with either an aviation-style attitude indicator icon that displays lean angle in real-time or turn-by-turn directions in the center. The display can show turn-by-turn navigation to give you a simple indication of the direction and distance to the next turn, adding to convenience and riding enjoyment.
• "HEY KAWASAKI, SWITCH TO SPORT MODE.": Bluetooth® technology within the instrument panel lets you connect to your motorcycle wirelessly. Using smartphone connectivity (via RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE†) several instrument functions can be accessed allowing you to view vehicle info, riding log, phone notifications, tuning of general settings, Kawasaki Riding Management, and turn-by-turn navigation. The Z900 ABS is equipped with smartphone connectivity with available voice command and turn-by-turn navigation using RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE†. • KAWASAKI TRACTION CONTROL: Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) system provides both enhanced sport riding performance and the confidence to negotiate low-traction surfaces. Three rider-selectable modes offer progressively greater levels of intrusion to suit the riding situation and your preference: Mode 1 provides the least amount of assistance with sport riding in mind. Mode 2 offers earlier assistance and features balanced sport riding support. Mode 3 offers the most assistance, allowing you to navigate challenging road conditions with confidence.
• POWER STANCE: A choice between Full Power or Low Power modes allows you to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. Low Power mode limits output to approximately 75% of Full Power for enhanced manageability.
• READY FOR ANYTHING: Integrated riding modes link KTRC settings and Power Modes, allowing you to easily set traction control and power delivery to suit your given riding situation and optimize your riding experience. Select between Sport, Road, Rain, or Manual to tailor the ride to conditions and preferences. The riding mode can be changed while riding, using the buttons located on the left handle.
